Divine Purpose

Word of the Spirit

God has a plan for each one of us. You cannot begin to fulfill His plan until you have received the Holy Spirit within you through your faith in Jesus. You must walk according to God's Spirit in order to step into the paths of righteousness that He has placed before your feet.

Whatever God's plan and purpose is for your life, it will be in alignment to His will and His nature; meaning you will not be able to step into it if you are walking according to the flesh. God's divine purpose for your life will require you to walk in close fellowship with Him in order to fulfill all He has called you to accomplish. It will be God who is leading you, clearing the way, and watching over you every step of the way.

The Lord, He is the One who goes before me (Deuteronomy 31:8). He will lead me in paths I have not known, He makes darkness light before me, and crooked places straight (Isaiah 42:16). He orders my paths and delights in my ways (Psalm 37:23). He leads me in the paths of righteousness for His name’s sake (Psalm 23:3). He makes straight paths for my feet (Hebrews 12:13) and upholds my steps in His paths, that my footsteps may not slip (Psalm 17:5). When I walk, my steps will not be hindered, and when I run, I will not stumble (Proverbs 4:12). He directs my steps by His word, and He lets no iniquity have dominion over me (Psalm 119:133). My heart shall not turn back nor my steps depart from His way (Psalm 44:18) - for I walk by faith not by sight (2 Corinthians 5:7) and with my hand to the plow (my eyes focused forward) I will not look back (Luke 9:62).

Led by the Spirit

God has set a path before your feet in which He desires you to walk. He has a purpose for your life that you must choose to step into. He has put a calling in your heart to entice you to seek out His divine purpose for your life.

If God is revealing to you a path that is out of your comfort zone or something that seems above your skill level or talent, realize that He will carry you through your mission. Whatever your purpose is, you will be able to fulfill it or walk in it when you abide in Him and walk according to the Spirit.

Trust in God and step into your calling.

Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.

The importance of fulfilling God's plan for your life:

The Parable of the Talents (Matthew 25:14-30)

"For the kingdom of heaven is like a man traveling to a far country, who called his own servants and delivered his goods to them. And to one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one, to each according to his own ability; and immediately he went on a journey. Then he who had received the five talents went and traded with them, and made another five talents. And likewise he who had received two gained two more also. But he who had received one went and dug in the ground, and hid his lord’s money. After a long time the lord of those servants came and settled accounts with them. So he who had received five talents came and brought five other talents, saying, ‘Lord, you delivered to me five talents; look, I have gained five more talents besides them.’ His lord said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant; you were faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.’ He also who had received two talents came and said, ‘Lord, you delivered to me two talents; look, I have gained two more talents besides them.’ His lord said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant; you have been faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.’ Then he who had received the one talent came and said, ‘Lord, I knew you to  be a hard man, reaping where you have not sown, and gathering where you have not scattered seed. And I was afraid, and went and hid your talent in the ground. Look, there you have what is yours.’ But his lord answered and said to him, ‘You wicked and lazy servant, you knew that I reap where I have not sown, and gather where I have not scattered seed. So you ought to have deposited my money with the bankers, and at my coming I would have received back my own with interest. So take the talent from him, and give it to him who has ten talents. ‘For to everyone who has, more will be given, and he will have abundance; but from him who does not have, even what he has will be taken away. And cast the unprofitable servant into the outer darkness. There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’"
